About Me

Over her three years at University, Sarah studied the prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of sports injuries as well as looking at the nutritional, psychological, biomechanical and physiological factors involved. She has also studied exercise rehabilitation for cardiac patients, children and the overweight population.
Sarah’s degree was practically based and alongside her studying she carried out many placement opportunities in private clinics, with sports teams and pitch side, with a range of athletes from recreational to professional and Olympic level. Sarah has also run her own appointments sessions at the Leeds Metropolitan sports injury clinic, allowing her to assess and treat national standard athletes from the track and field and fell running, and players from the University rugby, football, hockey, volleyball and lacrosse teams. Sarah has a huge passion for dance. She carried out placement work with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and wrote her dissertation on the effects of balance training for ballet dancers.
She has also been a receptionist at Sandylands Sports Centre in Skipton for over 3 years.
